Set Up Communication

I spend a lot of time in August setting up ways to communicate with my students. I moved to BAND last year and have wondered how I lived without it.

BAND is a kind of social media site for your staff. Students should have their notifications on! That’s the biggest battle. Any post will push to their phone. A post can be an announcement or you have options for RSVP, polls, collect payments, do a live feed, post videos or photos, create a to-do list and much more. You can send private messages to individuals or groups. We also use the calendar feature that allows multiple calendars so each staff can turn on or off other calenders they don’t want. Again, this is life-changing and easy to use.

I also use Remind for each staff and a parent group. I use remind for “more important” announcements.
