That’s my Girl!

Yep. I’m going to be that dad in this post. My daughter was launch into the yearbook editor-in-chief position last year when my senior editor quit the week before school started. This year, she’s back. I love watching my daughter lead. She cares for others. She takes time to get to know all the staff. She welcomes everyone at the door when they enter the room–usually with a “question of the day.” She leads class. (In the photo, she’s giving a presentation on pro tips and procedures for the book.) We don’t talk yearbook at home too much. But when we’re at school we don’t talk home too much.

This is one of best staffs I’ve worked with in a while. Maybe it’s because we started last May with a leadership retreat for editors. Maybe it’s because COVID is finally in the rearview mirror. Or maybe it’s just because spending time with my girl (and her friends) at school producing an amazing publication.

I’m a proud dad.
