Basic Photo Scavenger Hunt

Today in Journalism 1, I showed a couple of power points on the photo composition. These can be found on the Internet. Walsworth has a lot of resources you could tap into, or you could even go to YouTube and get a video to show. After the PowerPoint, we go outside for a scavenger hunt. Each student has to take five photos and label them accordingly. For example, they need one photo showing rule of thirds, another showing patterns, another showing natural framing and so on.

Here’s the list of needed photos.

Rule of Thirds

Patterns/Repetition

Leading Lines

Balance

Natural Framing

After the adventure outside, which they love a lot, they must upload to Canvas for an easy 100.
